Edward Gillingham

Ed Gillingham's funeral is next Friday, Sept. 14 at Chism Funeral Home, 769 Highland Ave., Vine Grove, KY.  Visitation will be from 11:30 am to 2.  Funeral procession to the VA cemetery, graveside service with full military honors at 2:30  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to an animal shelter of your choice.

Update 9/11/18 from Pat Morgan:
I spoke with Cristina Lane which is Ed gillingham's daughter. She was willing to let me have her home address so that our classmates who are not going to attend the visitation or funeral could drop her and her brother Mark Gillingham a personal note. So addressed to each of them and care of Cristina. The address is 136 Bluegrass Road Elizabethtown Kentucky 42701.

It was such a pleasure getting to know Ed through the reunion committee.  He was such a loyal member and so helpful.  He put up a heck of a fight with his health issues and was always upbeat.  We will miss him so much.

Heather Scarlett (Hurley)

Edward Lee Gillingham, 72, of Elizabethtown, KY passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY.

Mr. Gillingham was retired from the United States Army and had worked many years for Radio Shack.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence & Dorothy Gillingham;.

Survivors include:
Two children, Mark Gillingham & his wife, Tiffany, Cristina Lane & her husband, Anthony; four grandchildren, Robert Roe, Samantha Gillingham, Nathanial Gillingham, Caitlin Lane; five great grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Pezzarossi; one brother, Kenneth Gillingham; several nieces, nephews, family & friends.

Visitation will be from 11:30 AM until 2:00 PM Friday at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.

We saw the brick honoring Ed at the Waggener High football field when we attended the Homecoming game.
